This year marks the 20th
anniversary of the establishment of a dialogue
relationship between ASEAN and Korea, during
which the Asian region has witnessed growth
and prosperity. To celebrate the occasion,
the ASEAN-Korea Commemorative
Summit 2009
will be held at the invitation of the Korean
President on Jeju Island, Korea in early June.
Hosted by KCCI, the ASEAN-Korea Summit 2009 will take place in conjunction
with the ASEAN-Korea Commemorative
Summit 2009 on the beautiful island of Jeju from
May 31 to June 1, 2009, with Asian government
and business leaders attending. This forum
will be held under the theme of "Change,
Challenge, and Collaboration for Asia’s
Prosperity," which is expected to provide
participants from Korea and ASEAN countries
with a platform to find international countermeasures
to address the global economic crisis and
promote regional business cooperation.
